Travel Destinations
WanderAble all started with an idea.
I have had the best job in my life working with Sue Young at Freedom 4 U. I love working with special adults and I love travel and taking photos so the best job for me included all those things. Unfortunately through a series of events, Sue has decided to retire. Also the NDIS have decided that adults don’t deserve to travel with funding- not that the funding is being saved, just that it is only going to support adults in homes, staying in their local areas. Don’t get me started on how frustrating this is for the participants and the service providers.
I decided to create WanderAble to offer travel to senior adults. I thought there may be those that have family far away, or would like to take a bucket list trip but don’t want to burden family with their primary care. In addition, if there are NDIS clients that would like to use support hours to help fund their trip, I am able to do that too.
That is where Wanderable comes in. I have never run my own business that wasn’t directly contracted to another group, so this will be a challenge. But it is one I am enthusiastic to take! Let the games begin.
